Geena Cheung

Geena Cheung is a passionate, resourceful, and intuitive Registered Music Therapist.

She graduated with a Master of Creative Music Therapy from Western Sydney University in 2017. She recently completed a Diploma in Dementia Care at the University of Tasmania in 2024 and attended Neurologic Music Therapy training in 2020.

Over the years, Geena has worked with people across the lifespan in the contexts of:

  • Residential aged care
  • Community aged care
  • Neurorehabilitation
  • Disability
  • Recovery from drug and alcohol dependence

She has also volunteered as a Young Ambassador for Leading Aged Services Australia (2021-2023), an Expert Presenter for a webinar hosted by Dementia Australia (2022), and an Arts Engagement Office with ARTerie@RPAH (2020).

Geena was humbled to be selected as one of five finalists in the ‘Music Therapist of the Year’ category of the Australian Allied Health Awards in 2022.
